The Lonesome West
Torn Curtain Productions returns to Mermaid with a Martin McDonagh play. From the acclaimed writer of In Bruges, The Lonesome West is the third instalment of The Leenane Trilogy and is a vicious black comedy about two feuding brothers. Valene and Coleman are living alone in their father’s house after his recent death. They find it impossible to live without the most massive and violent disputes over the smallest and most innocent of topics. Only Father Welsh, the local young priest is prepared to try to reconcile the two brothers before their petty squabbling spirals out of control.
